Head Boy and Head Girl Job Description
- Act as a Role Model for students. This will involve working proactively with the younger years.
- Provide a positive public profile for the VI Form.
- Ensure that the Year Group Co-ordinators system is working. To meet with the leadership team every fortnight.
- Represent the school at a range of events throughout the school year, for example open evening.
- Become involved with the student life in Prep.
- To prepare speeches for various public school events such as prize Giving.
The School Council
The Year Group Co-ordinators will work with pupils from year 7 - 11 in the Senior School to form the School council.
Each member of the leadership team will be assigned to a year group and will speak to their year's form teacher to discuss days of the week when it would be preferred for them to come and visit and help out with the form.
Once they have been given a day, the visits will consist of helping out with form duties such as collevted merits, helping with homework, etc. The visits will provide an opportunity for the VI Form to form relationships with the younger students and will help bridge the gap between the VI Form and the high school.
They will attend all assemblies with their assigned year group so that they are fully aware of events happening. This will allow the students to recognise their VI Form representatives and acknowledge that if they have anything to talk about they can approach their representative.
When it is the end of half term the assigned form periods will be dedicated to talking to the students and finding out how they have found the term. It is a chance to see if they have any ideas of suggestions, which they would like to put forward.
This information will then be typed up and put into their personal folders. A meeting will be held with the leadership team where the information can be discussed. Issues which we find appropriate will be put forward in a meeting with the Head. It will also be a chance to see how students are finding their time here.
